Biography: Growing up in Jamestown North Dakota, Laura’s Dad was (and still is) the local Pharmacist. Her Grandpa was also a pharmacist and Laura knew from early on that she wanted to work in the medical field. During her sophomore year at UND, Laura shadowed a Physician Assistant at a clinical rotation in the Twin Cities – and knew then – that she had found her career.
Laura worked for several years at Sanford Health in Fargo before joining us at Edina Sports + Family Medicine. She enjoys working in a setting that utilizes both her critical thinking and clinical skills and she is passionate about making a positive physical, mental and emotional impact on her patients’ health.
“For me, establishing good rapport with my patients is a top priority,” says Laura. “When they know that I empathize with them and I really want to help them, they can relax and speak freely about their concerns. This trusting relationship improves their overall care.”
When not working, Laura enjoys traveling, hiking, biking and spending time with her family. She is a devoted Fighting Sioux and a proclaimed foodie. She loves to try new restaurants.
