Suzanne Davidowitz, MD

Education: University of Wisconsin Medical School

Special Training: Family Medicine Residency, HealthPartners Institute (Formerly St. Paul Ramsey Family and Community Medicine)

Board Certification: Family Medicine

Biography: Suzanne Davidowitz knew she wanted to be a physician when she was a senior in high school. She entered the University of Wisconsin-Madison on a Med Scholars program and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology prior to starting medical school. She was drawn to Family Medicine because she sees it as the most holistic way to help patients. “Where Specialty Care will hone in on a specific area, in Primary Care we can put the pieces together and figure out the puzzle,” says Dr. Davidowitz.

Now, with more than twenty years of experience in Family Medicine, with an emphasis in Women’s Health, she sees herself as a medical advisor and partner. “I think as physicians, we need to be humble in our approach to problems and our approach to patient care because we don’t always know everything.”

Dr. Davidowitz has worked with a number of patients who have medical anxiety. When a patient suffers from depression or an eating disorder, they are often hesitant to see a doctor. “I feel it’s very important to meet patients where they are and go from there. I am very non-judgmental and want to ensure my patients are at ease.”

When not at work, Suzanne enjoys playing her baby grand piano. She is a green belt in Hapkido, and she likes to swim. She also dabbles with painting and enjoys time with her family.
