Our Privilege
As your primary health care provider, it is our privilege to serve you and care for our community during this time of uncertainty.
We are OPEN, committed and available to see patients. Please contact us if you are ill, and please don’t overwhelm emergency rooms unless it is medically appropriate.
Your Health
During this time of increased anxiety surrounding Covid-19, it’s more important than ever to be vigilant about taking proper care of yourself. We know sometimes it’s easier to choose to ignore your own health or put others first.
It is vitally important to keep chronic illnesses well controlled. Evaluate and intervene early when a chronic illness flares up or is complicated by a different illness or injury.
And remember that we are still in flu season. Influenza and strep are still circulating and may need to be evaluated in the office.
New Measures
We have taken the following important measures to keep our patients and employees safe:
We are asking all patients to come to their appointment alone unless they need the assistance of a caregiver.
We have prepared dedicated sick exam rooms that are separate from other clinical areas. These exam rooms are never used for well patients.
Patients with a fever or upper respiratory illness (cough/cold symptoms) are asked to call us when they arrive and wait in their car until we are ready to see them. We will meet these patients at their vehicle with a mask and escort them to their exam room. These patients are never in the waiting area.
All other patients are given the option to wait in their car or the waiting area.
We have increased our already-outstanding infection control practices, including judicious and appropriate use of personal protective equipment.
Patients may request a virtual visit. Our normal triage guidelines remain in place.
Prevention and Care
If it’s time for your annual physical or wellness visit, we are here for you. Every day during annual visits, providers identify and diagnose serious health concerns that would have been otherwise overlooked. Screening and early detection are strongly linked to better outcomes.
We are following the Minnesota Department of Health guidelines to test for Covid-19. As of now, we have not had a patient in our clinic who has been diagnosed with Covid-19.
Our phones are answered 24/7/365. If you have questions, concerns or are unwell, please call us at 952-926-6489, or use our patient portal to message your provider. |
You know the drill – (but we are going to tell you again):
